The Biluut Mountain, located in Tsengel soum, Bayan Ulgii province, western Mongolia, is abundant with petroglyphs. Over the past 15 years, Dr. Richard Kortum of East Tennessee State University in Johnson city, Tennessee, USA has done a tremendous amount of work to document important petroglyph sites in western Mongolia and bring them to the attention of Mongolians and the rest of the world. The fascinating images that Richard displays in this book are important from several perspectives: scientific, art historical, aesthetic.
